UAP switches to The Fuelcard People
UAP, one of the UK’s leading names in crop production products and agronomy support services, has selected The Fuelcard People as its new fuel cards partner. It has switched suppliers for strategic reasons which go beyond the immediate benefit of reducing and controlling vehicle running costs.
Tony Frain, who manages logistics for UAP, said: “Nobody else could give us the same combination of service, savings and security. Having chosen three different fuel cards from the wide range offered by The Fuelcard People, we make our own decisions on which to use at any time, rather than being tied to a single card. To put this into context, most fuel card suppliers only offer one or two cards.”
UAP’s nationwide operation uses a variety of commercial vehicles, with all types and sizes running on diesel. “If we also had petrol vehicles, that would have been no problem,” said Tony Frain, “as The Fuelcard People also stands out by covering both diesel and petrol users. A major benefit, though, relates to queries. We always ask for James, who knows us and can get straight to the point. With anyone else, we would have to start by explaining who we are to an anonymous call centre operator.”
UAP will benefit from fixed weekly pricing for diesel, nationwide. This will be, typically, significantly below national average pump prices and well under motorway prices. As with all The Fuelcard People account holders, a single weekly invoice gives UAP up to two weeks of free credit before its direct debit payment.
The Fuelcard People offers an unmatched range of fuel cards enabling users, depending upon which they choose, to refuel at up to 1,500 filling stations nationwide. It includes fuel cards valid at BP, Esso, Shell, Texaco, Q8, Jet, Gulf, Spot, Murco, Morrisons, Somerfield and Moto filling stations, plus the Keyfuels Diesel Direct and ReD networks. This degree of choice means that customers are not pushed towards any particular fuel card, but receive impartial advice on the most appropriate for their specific needs.
Further benefits include being able to access account details 24/7 via the Internet, including transactions which are yet to be invoiced, downloading information directly into standard business packages. All access is security protected, part of the leading-edge security available with every fuel card in The Fuelcard People’s extensive range.
